I live and breathe financial advice, have had a lot of exposure and ideas from many different advice backgrounds. From this experience, I have an excellent understanding of what works and what doesn't in advice and have learnt how to employ a variety of approaches to benefit my clients.
I have been a self-employed Financial Adviser and business entrepreneur since 2012. Before giving advice I was running the back office of an advice business. I also grew up in a financial advice household with both of my parents running an advice business which means financial advice has been dinner table talk for me my whole life.
What this means to you is that I live and breathe financial advice, have had a lot of exposure and ideas from many different advice backgrounds. From this experience, I have an excellent understanding of what works and what doesn’t in advice and have learnt how to employ a variety of approaches to benefit my clients.
I was first registered as an adviser in 2012 at the age of 20, making me the youngest adviser of my licensee group and was one of the youngest in the country. Over the next few years, I completed a post-graduate degree in BA and Strategic Leadership, became a tax financial adviser, gained membership to the AFA and built a good-sized financial planning business in Melbourne, before deciding on making a sea change with my family and moving to the Whitsundays.
I present regularly to local community groups about financial planning and because of the profound linking of money and mental health I also volunteer to share my knowledge and experience to help people in the community. I am on the management committee for the WSPN (Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network) and am passionate about helping reduce financial stress and the mental health issues it brings.
Now I don’t tell you these things to impress you… I tell you to “impress upon you” the type of work that we do from our little office!
Whilst we are now based in Melbourne, we still have a strong presence in the Whitsundays, and we love spending our time getting the best of both beach and city worlds.
I am recently married to my wife Lauren who I am lucky enough to call my partner in both home life and business.
During my years in financial advice, I’ve worn every hat in our business…
I’ve painted the walls, put out the bins and vacuumed the floors, paid the accounts, done the HR, all the way through to developing strategic planning & ‘big picture’ thinking! I have spent hours filing and note-taking, all of which has meant that I have a fully rounded knowledge of our whole process and industry back to front.
I have spoken to thousands of people about their money and personally helped hundreds of clients just like you through good times and bad times with great success.
So when I talk about tax, investments, super, protection and debt issues, I come from a place of real-life experience, not just theory and numbers. My experience means I can ‘fast-track’ some quick wins that you can implement straight away.
I’m growing my own family, wealth and investments and understand what it takes to get the family and work-life balance right. I want to help you get your own balance right so you can grow and protect your family and wealth without missing out on all of the good stuff in between.
